Specialist Setup Form
The Specialist Setup Form is used to maintain the Specialist information used throughout CARE.
When a specialist becomes inactive, to maintain historical information, you should not delete the specialist. Instead, you can use the Inactive check box to indicate their inactive status and prevent users from selecting the specialist in the future.
Tips
- When a specialist becomes inactive, to make it easier to transfer their caseload to a new specialist, you can use the Specialist Transfer Utility.
Additional Information
- Important: CARE Administrators must select an agency for each Specialist so CARE can determine the agency name, agency address, etc to be used.
- There is a Display filter at the top of the form that can be used to view active specialists, inactive specialists or all specialists.
- To enter multiple worker numbers for a specialist, click the magnifying glass to the right of the Worker Number field to view the Specialist Worker Number popup form. Note: Worker number information is not used on any reports. However, the specialist worker number is included in certain custom format export files.
- If your agency uses the NoHo Provider Portals or Parent Portals software, you must enter an email address for each specialist. This is required for the Contact Specialist functionality in the Parent and Provider Portals.
- The information entered in the Title field will be displayed on the “CCRC” format DPSS ST1-09, ST1-10 and ST1-10A NOAs.
- Administrators can enter the supervisor name for specialists.
Note: this information will not display on any reports, but may be useful for agencies running ad hoc reports.
